Candidate Program
Step 1: Become a Candidate
Candidate Benefits:
Are you an architect specializing in healthcare that is ready to get on track to become ACHA certified?
The Candidate Program will orient your path to certification while you enjoy the benefits of networking with the best and brightest healthcare architects. Learn from some of the most respected icons in the healthcare industry while you are mentored along the path of certification and grow in your knowledge of healthcare architecture.
A Candidate is defined as an individual who is or intends to become a licensed architect, seeks to obtain ACHA Certification, and is committed to advancing the vision of the ACHA in accordance with the criteria and eligibility requirements outlined below. Participation in the Candidate Program does not require submission of experience or an examination application. Beginning in 2026, all ACHA applicants must first become a Candidate. Candidates will receive ACHA communications, application and examination reminders. By becoming a candidate, ACHA will help shepherd you through the certification process.

-
Opportunity to participate in one ACHA committee or task force (except Certification and Exam Committees).
