Involvement
For ACHA certificants, there are multiple opportunities to become involved through our five standing committees. In addition, there are annual task forces such as recruitment and conference planning, and think tanks on important relevant topics. Complete the Show of Interest form to be contacted.

Career Path Committee
The Career Path Committee (CPC) is responsible for engaging stakeholders along their career arc in healthcare architecture to identify, communicate and reinforce the value and role of ACHA. Specific initiatives include annual student competitions, the Candidate program, certification prep seminars and new certificant town halls.

Certification Committee
The Certification Committee is responsible for the evaluation of ACHA applicants’ portfolio submission to evaluate their level of knowledge and skills to design healthcare environments through broad-based professional experience. The Committee acts as advisors to candidates prior to their application submission, maintains portfolio examples and the yearly editing of the Certification Handbook.

Communication and Outreach Committee
The Communication and Outreach committee is responsible for managing ACHA's public image and promoting ACHA through media and personal outreach. The Committee strives to increase awareness and visibility of ACHA within the industry and deliver valuable resources to certificants, candidates, and to promote industry partners.

Continued Competence Committee
The Continuing Competency Committee enhances value for certificants and candidates providing quality educational content through the Master Series 2.0, Educational Resource Database, and the yearly ‘Hot Topics’ newsletter and associated ‘Town Halls,’ building the ACHA community through topic exploration and conversation.

Examination Committee
The Exam Committee prepares the certification exam that is professionally sound and legally defensible to evaluate an applicant’s competence to design healthcare environments. The committee writes examination questions based on an approved detailed content outline and continually reviews the current exam to ensure accuracy.
